1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Step 1: Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
Step 2: Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Step 3: Mix Ingredients
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 4: Add Dry Ingredients
Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder into the saucepan. Mix until just combined.
Step 5: Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
