Pulled Chicken and Black Beans

Ingredients

Chicken Breast - 2 cups, cooked and shredded

Black Beans - 1 can (15 oz), drained and rinsed

Onion - 1 medium, chopped

Garlic - 2 cloves, minced

Tomato Sauce - 1 cup

Barbecue Sauce - 1/2 cup

Apple Cider Vinegar - 2 tbsp

Worcestershire Sauce - 1 tbsp

Chili Powder - 1 tsp

Paprika - 1 tsp

Salt - to taste

Black Pepper - to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Sauté Onion and Garlic

In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until softened.

Step 2: Add Chicken and Black Beans

Add cooked and shredded chicken breast and drained black beans to the skillet. Stir to combine.

Step 3: Prepare Sauce

In a bowl, mix together tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4: Simmer

Cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 5: Serve

Once the mixture is heated through and the flavors have melded, remove from heat. Serve the pulled chicken and black beans mixture hot, either as a filling for tacos, burritos, or on top of rice. Enjoy!
